SCHLESISCHES TOR
Schlesisches Tor is a U-Bahn station in Kreuzberg, Berlin. I like the beautiful vintage look of the whole structure. What especially caught my eye was the elaborate Corinthian pillar contrasting with the usual Kreuzberg street scene, and the massive metal structure of the U-Bahn tracks.
Besides the station, the building houses a small music club called »Bi Nuu« where I've seen bands like Biffy Clyro. Just across the street is one of the best sneaker shops in Germany, called the »Overkill Shop«.
My technique: I paint the black lines of the illustrations by hand on my iPad Pro, using a photo I took as reference. Then I finish the pictures in Photoshop, adding color, texture, and the halftone-patterns.
